Catching up on my high-school reading...

I don't ever know what to say about classics like this.
I really enjoyed it.

Reading this makes me want to watch the film adaptations.
Both the old...

...and the new(er).

I've heard nothing but good things about the Lon Chaney Jr. version.
And Gary Sinise as George sounds like perfect casting.

Also, this!

  1. I also read this recently (does 9 months ago count as recent?), and I love it now as much as I loved it when I read it in High school. I can't remember if I've seen the older movie version, but the new one with Gary Sinise is very good, very sad, and very accurate. But I have one complaint (about the old movie poster): WHY do they always blame it on the girl? Another example is the poster for the film adaptation of "East of Eden": http://www.moviegoods.com/large_detail.asp?http://www.moviegoods.com//Assets/product_images/1020/174210.1020.A.jpg

P.S. this is not your sister.
